The stands are roaring, the fans are cheering, and a fierce battle on the basketball court is taking place. Lithuania was awarded the right to host the European Basketball Championship for the very first time in 1939. This was the occasion for which our first basketball home was built - Kaunas Sports Hall. The Lithuanian national team, together with captain Pranas Lubinas, immortalized this historic moment by winning gold medals and securing the title of European basketball kings once again.
